The environment department of Manilva Town Hall, whose responsible councillor is Laura López, announced this morning that workers from a local company contracted by the Town Hall are carrying out cleaning work in the ecological reserve of the beaches of Manilva.

Following the latest easterly (levante) storm, a large amount of debris, such as reeds, rubbish and rubble, has built up in this area, which is much used by residents and visitors.

This area is regularly used for walking or cycling, breathing in the clean sea air in a protected natural area, hence the importance of keeping it in perfect condition, as it is one of the great jewels of our municipality.

For this reason, the workers are making a thorough effort to remove everything washed in by the sea, as well as clearing the sand that has built up on the path running through the reserve, which is preventing residents from walking comfortably and safely.

Councillor Laura López said that maintaining and protecting this area is essential for the department she heads.
