CEIP Pablo Picasso solves school transport problem

The Headteacher of CEIP Pablo Picasso de Manilva has announced that the school has managed to find solutions to the problem pupils were experiencing when travelling to school by school transport. According to the letter sent out, a second monitor has been hired, which allows the shifts to be reorganised, and it is considered that these issues will be resolved. The Education department councillor, Fina Gómez, thanked all the parties for their efforts in resolving this inconvenience for families.
The letter reads as follows:

«Good afternoon to the families who use the school transport service.
I am writing to let you know the solution to the problem we are currently having with school transport. After speaking with the person responsible for the Educational Planning service, we have agreed on the following measure, which should, presumably, resolve the difficulty we have had with this service.

A second monitor has been hired for the transport, so the bus will run in two shifts: the first shift (all stops except Supersol), and the second shift (Supersol stop).

Pupils on the first shift will stay at the school waiting for the start of the school day in the early-morning club (aula matinal). This service is free for them as they use the school transport and arrive at the school before 9:00 (early-morning club 100% subsidised). Therefore, those 10 minutes until 9:00 will be properly supervised by monitors in the early-morning club service, as mentioned.

The bus stops to drop off the first-shift pupils and, without having to wait, goes down with the newly hired monitor to Supersol for the second shift, following the timetable set out below.

FIRST SHIFT:
– Puerto de la Duquesa: 8:05/14:05
– Los Hidalgos: 8:10/14:10
– Hacienda Guadalupe: 8:15/14:15
– Aldea Hill: 8:20/14:20
– Playa Paraíso: 8:25/14:25
– Aldea Beach: 8:30/14:30
– Jardín Tropical: 8:35/14:35

SECOND SHIFT:
– San Luis de Sabinillas (Supersol): 8:50/14:40

We remind you of the importance of being at the stop 5 minutes before the bus is due to arrive, as the bus cannot wait for passengers, and it is clearly the responsibility of the adult to be there before the scheduled time.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
I wish you a good weekend, and remind you that this measure will come into force not on Monday, but on Tuesday the 1st.

Kind regards,
Mr Ernesto Romero, Headteacher.»
