The Culture department, for the celebration of the 2022 carnival, which will take place in the Plaza de Los Maestros in Sabinillas, is organising a fancy dress competition in the adult category, both individual and group, as well as a prize draw for all the children who enter the children’s fancy dress competition. This year the little ones will also be able to take part in a fancy dress competition in the individual and group categories, in which two prizes will be awarded to the two finalists.
This initiative aims to reward aspects related to carnival in terms of costume-making, taking into consideration areas such as imagination, originality, and the work and effort of the participants in making their costumes, among others. The programme will be as follows:

Saturday 12 March in the Plaza de los Maestros in Sabinillas
- 16:30 Registration for the children’s fancy dress prize draw, with children’s entertainment, games, workshops and attractions for the little ones.
- 18:00 Musical «Pinicho»
- 19:30 Performance by the Escuela de Expresión Corporal
- 20:30 Children’s fancy dress competition and prize draw among the participants
- 00:00 Adult fancy dress competition
- 01:00 DJ Turbo
Sunday 13 March in the Plaza de los Maestros in Sabinillas
- 16:30 Performance by Chirigota Estepona / San Pedro «Te quiero de Aquí a Lima»
- 17:30 Anthology of Comparsa Rafa & Dani (Narcos, La Afición, Los soñadores, La Espera)
- 19:00 Performance of «Una Comparsa Miserable» by Antonio Martínez Ares.
