The Beach department of Manilva Town Hall has announced the opening of the booking period for renting boats for holding moragas on the municipality’s beaches.
According to the beach department, interested people can now request the use of these boats under a booking system organised in fortnightly periods, which will remain active until 30 September.
Requests must be made in person at the Beach department office, located at the Monumento de El Castillo de la Duquesa. To process the booking, it is compulsory to present a copy of the Documento Nacional de Identidad (national identity card), both sides.
Opening hours for dealing with bookings will be from 10:00 to 13:00, while the boats may be used between 20:00 and 01:00.
Fortnightly bookings
The system allows bookings to be made at least three days in advance and will be opened progressively every fortnight. The period currently open allows boats to be booked for the period between 1 and 15 June. Subsequently, from 1 to 15 June, bookings will open for the second half of the month, and so on throughout the summer season.
The Beach department reminds the public that the person named as the applicant will be responsible for any incident that may occur during the moraga. This responsibility includes any disturbance to neighbours, public order offences, damage to the equipment provided or failure to clean the area used.
With this initiative, the Town Hall maintains a service in high demand every summer among residents and visitors who wish to enjoy traditional gatherings by the sea, a custom closely linked to the identity and cultural heritage of our coasts.
