Municipal representatives travelled to Chipiona to receive the Blue Flag that will fly this summer on Sabinillas beach, and the one we are once again flying at the Duquesa marina.

This award has been granted by ADEAC to beaches that meet a series of criteria, in addition to the legality of the facilities themselves, which can be grouped into four areas: environmental information and education, water quality, environmental management, and safety and services.

The event was attended by the Vice-President of the Junta de Andalucía and Minister for Tourism, Juan Marín, and by José Palacios on behalf of ADEAC.

The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, the councillor for Beaches and Tourism, Eva Galindo, and the First Deputy Mayor, Diego José Jiménez, were at the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Regla to receive the flag that Sabinillas regains after several years.

As for the facilities at La Duquesa, Manuel Raigón and Alejandro Suanes, managing director and operations director of Marinas del Mediterráneo, were responsible for receiving the Marina Flag.

It is worth noting that the number of beaches awarded the Blue Flag 2022 distinction in our autonomous community has increased, with 7 more than in 2021, in addition to 21 marinas (one more than in 2021).

And in Málaga, besides the one mentioned at Sabinillas Beach, another 35 have received this recognition in the municipalities of Algarrobo, Ardales, Benalmádena, Casares, Fuengirola, Málaga, Marbella, Mijas, Nerja, Torremolinos, Torrox and Vélez Málaga.
