Arrest in Manilva over burglary

-

Officers from the Guardia Civil’s main station in Manilva have arrested a man for the alleged commission of two burglaries involving forced entry and climbing, both at the same premises.

The investigation began after two complaints were filed, within a short period of time, over a burglary at a household appliance repair workshop in Manilva.

Officers found that the alleged perpetrator had used the same modus operandi to enter the premises, forcing a window located at a considerable height, the Guardia Civil said in a statement.

Following the visual inspections carried out by investigators, it was determined that both burglaries had been committed by the same person, as identical fingerprints were found at both crime scenes.

The fingerprints turned out to belong to a 33-year-old man, a resident of the town with numerous previous convictions for similar offences, and officers therefore arrested him and brought him before the courts for the alleged commission of two burglaries involving forced entry and climbing.
