Since this morning, 3,000 poinsettias have been planted across the municipality, turning our surroundings into an idyllic Christmas setting for the festive season that brings 2021 to a close.

The Parks and Gardens department, whose councillor is Francisco Becerra, put the contract out to tender and it was won by the local company Jardín Sur.
Under the terms of the contract, the department has ensured that the winning company is responsible not only for planting these Christmas plants, but also for pruning and caring for them throughout December and for replanting with seasonal species once Christmas is over.

The areas that will display the intense red colour typical of the festive season that the poinsettia provides are the busiest in the municipality, such as the roundabouts in both Manilva and Sabinillas, as well as locations in El Castillo and El Puerto, on Avenida Manilva and in other parts of the municipality.

The department would like to ask residents to show civic responsibility so that together we can look after our surroundings and present the best possible image at any time of year.
