The beginners’ acrylic course taught by local resident Fina Gómez has now started. It forms part of the training programme «Iníciate y haz de ello tu profesión», aimed at young people aged between 16 and 19.
Launched by the Social Welfare and Employment Promotion departments, headed by Paqui López and Marcos Ruiz, the workshop has 15 female students enrolled.
The local businesswoman, who has a long career behind her, explained how the course will run. She also told us that among her own projects is the organisation of the Andalusian Nail Championship at FIBES (Seville), which will take place from 5 to 7 February.
Councillor Marcos Ruiz stressed that it is a real privilege to have this professional, whose career is recognised nationally and internationally, passing on her knowledge to the participants.
The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, spoke along the same lines, and also pointed to the importance of being able to offer the town’s young people a wide variety of workshops to broaden their training.
It is worth remembering that, as part of the «Iníciate y haz de ello tu profesión» programme, a beginners’ course in sound and lighting will be held from 7 to 11 February. It is offered by the local company Muled Sound at the Polígono La Dehesilla, from 9:30 to 13:30.
