Coinciding with the «Saborea Manilva» gastronomic fair, the 6th Encuentro de Parrandas (a gathering of traditional folk music groups) will be held in our town on Saturday, 4 December.
La Parranda de Manilva, La Juventud manilveña, the pastoral group «El barbero» from Marbella, «Nostalgia navideña» from Estepona, the pastoral group «Villa de Ojén» and the peñas of Santa Cristina and «Los penosos» from Málaga will perform a parade at 12:00 through the streets of Manilva.
In the afternoon, at around 17:00, they will perform in the plaza de la Vendimia.
The Culture department, headed by Alba Jiménez, is once again responsible, as every year, for maintaining these folk traditions so that residents can enjoy them.
