José Manuel Fernández, mayor of Manilva, and Agustín Vargas, Infrastructure and Works councillor, together with municipal technicians, have visited the area that will make up the third phase of the seafront promenade in Sabinillas.
Previously, the municipal officials met with one of the managers of the company “Ingeniería, Obras y tecnología Europea S.L”, the main candidate for the contract, to carry out the negotiated procedure without publicity.
It should be recalled that five companies submitted bids, and the aforementioned company will go before the next contracting board to be ratified, once the technical report has been analysed.
In the coming days a meeting will be held with the traders and residents of the area to explain the progress of the works to them in detail.
After the bad experiences with the previous sections, which were executed to a standard unworthy of a promenade used by thousands of people every day, good quality work will be demanded on these works.
