The head of the Housing Estates department, Laura López, accompanied by the councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Diego José Jiménez, visited the Alborán Hills and Aldea Hills areas, together with residents and municipal technicians, to inspect the work under way to create a pedestrian path providing access to the coast.
Running parallel to the Martagina stream, the path will allow pedestrians to reach their destination safely, especially during the summer months.
Approximately 200m long and 3m wide, the surface of the route will include a geotextile material that will protect the green area while slowing the growth of weeds.
In addition, a wooden balustrade in keeping with the natural surroundings will be installed along one side.
A local company is carrying out the work, which is expected to be completed in about two weeks.
Municipal officials expressed their great satisfaction with the progress of the project.
