Work on the pedestrian path is progressing well

-

The Infrastructure councillor at Manilva Town Hall, Diego José Jiménez, visited the pedestrian path linking Manilva and Sabinillas this morning, as part of his regular tours of the various works under way in the municipality. Work on the path is currently progressing satisfactorily.

The councillor stressed that particular attention is being paid to the safety measures along the route.

Jiménez also reported that, of the 1,060 metres of this first section of the path, excavation and backfilling have already been completed on 400 metres and the service ducting is now being installed, which gives an idea of the good pace of work.

Further down, as the councillor explained, excavation continues on another 200 metres. At the end of the first phase, work on the rock-armour wall has been completed. This will be the link with the next phase of the project, which will take us as far as the centre of Manilva.

This pedestrian route will be very important for local residents by linking the two towns, bringing Manilva and Sabinillas closer together.
