Work continues on the Pedreta passage

-

Councillors Diego José Jiménez (Infrastructure and Works) and Marcos Ruiz (Town Planning) have been supervising on site the work being carried out as part of the project for the passage that will connect calle Jimena with the La Pedreta ring road.

Diego José Jiménez spoke of the importance of closely monitoring this and other ongoing works first-hand, with the help of the municipal technicians, in order to provide solutions to any problems that may arise during the course of the work.

For his part, Marcos Ruiz highlighted that, in addition to beautifying this part of the centre of Manilva and turning it into a picturesque spot, the area’s functionality in terms of mobility will also be improved.

This link will improve pedestrian access to the area for residents, as it will include a staircase and a lift for people with reduced mobility, as well as a viewpoint with extraordinary views and new parking areas.

This important project will become a reality thanks to the good coordination between the Diputación de Málaga (Malaga Provincial Council) and the Town Hall, as it has been included in the Economic Reactivation Plan for municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants.

The work involves an investment of 150,000 euros from the Diputación and around 33,000 euros from the project contributed by the Town Hall.
