The Infrastructure and Works councillor at Manilva Town Hall, Diego José Jiménez, visited the works under way on calle Cristóbal Morales this morning, the road linking Puerto de la Duquesa with El Castillo.
The councillor had already explained when the works began that the project consists of remodelling all of the existing pavement, renewing the kerb line and paving, and replacing the manhole covers. On this occasion, non-slip stoneware tiles are being used for the pavement. These works improve an area that had deteriorated badly over time and had manholes in poor condition, which posed a danger to the normal passage of pedestrians.
He also visited the department’s workers who are repairing a pipe in the Los Granados area. Following a fault yesterday afternoon, the toilets and showers in this stretch were left without water, although the fault was fully resolved within just a few hours and the supply was restored.
