The University Intern programme, launched once again by the Employment Promotion and Local Development department, will have 19 students this summer, who will carry out their placements in the various municipal departments.
Earlier today, the councillor for this area, Fina Gómez, and the Human Resources councillor, Juan Carlos Morejón, met with this group of young people to assign each of them the department in which they will carry out their placement.
The contract, paid at the national minimum wage, will last one month, taking place in July or August, from Monday to Friday and from 8:00 to 14:30.
As the municipal officials explained, the students will, as far as possible, carry out duties related to the degrees they are currently studying.
Fina Gómez highlights the importance of being able to offer these placements to university students in their own municipality, which will be of mutual benefit to the young people and the Town Hall.
The Human Resources councillor, Juan Carlos Morejón, together with José Carlos Castaños, has studied each case individually in order to find the best placement for each intern, where they can carry out their duties as effectively as possible.
These placements will take place in departments such as Personnel, Town Planning, Auditing, Legal Advice, RTV Manilva, Human Resources, Agriculture, the Training Centre, Tourism and the Patios de Verano.
