Union elections at Manilva Town Hall

-

On Thursday 21 November, the Pabellón de Usos Múltiples in Manilva will host the union elections in which municipal workers will be able to exercise their right to vote. During the day, the representatives who will sit on the Works Council (Comité de Empresa), the body responsible for negotiating and managing the workforce’s employment matters over the next four years, will be elected.

A historic first: separate committees for civil servants and contracted staff

For the first time, the union elections will be split by group. A Works Council exclusively for civil servants will be set up, made up of 9 members, and another for contracted staff, with a total of 13 members. This change marks a milestone in union representation in the municipality.

For the Civil Servants’ Committee, the lists are headed by:

  • UGT, led by Francisco Román.
  • CCOO, led by David Chavero.

For the Contracted Staff Committee, the following are standing:

  • UGT, led by Fernando Quesada.
  • CSIF, with Ángel Parla at the helm.
  • CCOO, headed by Jesús Ramos.

Voting hours

Polling will begin at 10:00 and will have different closing times depending on the group:

  • Civil servants: until 15:30.
  • Contracted staff: until 17:00.

These elections represent a key moment in defining the direction and management of employment rights at Manilva Town Hall, ensuring representation in line with the needs of each group.
