The unemployment figures recorded in the municipality in recent months are very good. Although summer months are usually very positive, the figures published for July show a further fall in the number of unemployed people in Manilva for the sixth consecutive month, with 44 fewer people, bringing the total to 1009, of whom 601 are women and 408 are men.

As for hiring, there was also an increase in the number of employment contracts signed in July compared with the previous month, with 10 more contracts, bringing the figure to 647 contracts: 355 for men and 292 for women.
The hospitality sector, as is to be expected at this time of year, generated the most employment in July with 243 new contracts, followed, surprisingly, by the education sector with 102 new employment contracts in the town, wholesale trade with 61 and construction, which falls to 60.
