Town Hall working on two large underground car parks to address shortage of parking spaces in Manilva

-

The governing team continues to work on the construction of two large underground car parks in the municipality, in response to the shortage of parking spaces and the need to provide this service to residents.

On the one hand, work continues in Plaza Ginebra, in Sabinillas, where 200 parking spaces are planned.

On the other, in calle Cristóbal Morales, in the area of the Corredor Verde (Green Corridor) that links the Puerto de la Duquesa with El Castillo, another car park with a planned capacity of 1,072 spaces is projected.

The governing team stresses that, for the first time in the history of the municipality, infrastructure projects of this type and scale are being launched, with the aim of easing the lack of parking in these areas.

In addition, another of the areas where car parks are planned in two phases is Plaza Vicente Espinel, in Sabinillas, a project that has already had a positive trial.

The next step will be to carry out an economic assessment of the projects before proceeding to put them out to tender.
