The new bus will be in service on Monday

-

Manilva is introducing a new 30-seat bus next Monday to improve the municipal transport service. The vehicle was presented this afternoon in the plaza de la Iglesia in Sabinillas, where the parish priest, Don Jose Antonio Melgar, blessed it so that it may protect and unite all its users.

A new boost for public transport

The mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, highlighted the importance of this new acquisition, which will significantly improve transport in the town. «This new minibus is a sign of the governing team’s commitment to improving public services», said Fernández.

Features of the new minibus:

  • Ramp for people with reduced mobility.
  • Eight adapted seats.
  • Individual USB charging.
  • Personalised air conditioning and heating convectors.
  • Information display.
  • Latest driver-assistance technology.
  • Thermal insulation on the windows against the heat.
  • Maximum-security device.

The minibus livery, created by local artist María José Gil Lozano, will give an identity to transport in the town and will be extended to all taxis.

It should be remembered that the Town Hall is currently putting out to tender another bus, with 41 seats, which is expected to be in service in October.
