The general secretary of the PSOE in Manilva, Francisco Becerra, today demanded that the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno Bonilla, honour his commitment to the municipality and build the second secondary school now. During a visit to the municipality by the PSOE Málaga organisation secretary, José Bernal, the Socialists presented their campaign on Moreno’s broken promises to the province.
“After eight years of Juanma Moreno and the PP in government in Andalucía, they are still failing Manilva. They promised a new secondary school for our municipality. The municipality’s only secondary school, IES Las Viñas, is overcrowded: it was built for 700 pupils and now has 1,400. The PP is not keeping its word to Manilva”, said Becerra.
For his part, Bernal recalled that “Moreno Bonilla repeatedly promised to build the second secondary school for Manilva and still has not delivered”. “Moreno Bonilla must deliver once and for all and this second school for Manilva must be built. In the last term, while the Socialist Party was in the governing team, a municipal plot was handed over to the Junta de Andalucía for the construction of this much-demanded second school. However, the Junta has done nothing”, he lamented.
