On 20 September, the members of the Boards of the Manilva AMPAs (parent-teacher associations) from the municipality’s different schools, which include AMPA Oleaje (CEIP San Luis de Sabinillas), AMPA El Cortinal (CEIP Pablo Picasso de Manilva), AMPA El Poniente (CEIP Maicandil de Sabinillas) and AMPA Santa Ana (IES Las Viñas de Manilva), met to address a matter of great importance that could contribute to a substantial improvement for the educational community of the municipality of Manilva.
In a constant effort to look after the wellbeing of Manilva’s pupils, these parent associations believe that their proposal has the potential to have a significant impact on the wider community. The meeting was a key step in giving shape to this initiative.
During the meeting, the details of the strategy to be followed were outlined and a statement was drafted, which will be delivered to the Mayor of Manilva, Jose Manuel Fernández, as soon as the date of the requested meeting is confirmed. Representatives of the Boards of the various Manilva AMPAs are expected to attend that meeting, where they will present the proposal and press for its implementation, which will benefit the whole educational community of the municipality.
This initiative demonstrates the commitment of the Manilva AMPAs to contributing to and seeking the wellbeing of the community and, in particular, of the children and young people of the municipality. This proposal is expected to have a very positive and beneficial impact on all families in the municipality who have children studying at the different schools.
