Manilva Town Hall, through its Parks and Gardens department, has reported the theft of the rubber tiles from the children’s playground in La Peñuela, laid to cushion any impact for the little ones when they use the swings.
This regrettable incident not only causes considerable damage, but the repair will be paid for from municipal funds, making it an extra expense that harms the majority.
According to the acting councillor, Francisco Becerra, «for this kind of act not to happen again we need the cooperation of residents because, in this case, the parks provide a community service and many families enjoy them».
If any resident has seen anything unusual in the area, they are asked to contact the Local Police.
