Restrictions confirmed to continue in Manilva

Manilva, like all the municipalities in the Costa del Sol Health District, will have to keep the same restrictions in place for one more week. This was agreed on Thursday by the Málaga Public Health Alert Committee. The decision will be published in the Boletín Oficial de la Junta de Andalucía (the Andalusian regional government’s official gazette) in the next few hours. Despite improvements in many municipalities and the Health District being below 150 in Active Incidence, the experts prefer to remain cautious in order to continue the decline in cases across the District.

A total of 37 municipalities in the province of Málaga will remain at level 3 grade 1 and will therefore have to maintain these restrictions: Benahavís, Benalmádena, Casares, Estepona, Fuengirola, Istán, Manilva, Marbella, Mijas, Ojén, Torremolinos, Árchez, Algatocín, Alpandeire, Arriate, Atajate, Benadalid, Benalauría, Benaoján, Benarrabá, El Burgo, Cartajima, Cortes de la Frontera, Cuevas del Becerro, Faraján, Gaucín, Genalguacil, Igualeja, Jimera de Líbar, Jubrique, Júzcar, Montecorto, Montejaque, Parauta, Pujerra, Ronda and Serrato, with the exception of Gaucín and Montejaque, which are at level 3 grade 2 and must therefore remain under perimeter closure.

The provincial Committee will meet again next Thursday to determine any changes to the restrictions, depending on the epidemiological situation and other parameters taken into account for these measures.
