PSOE spokesperson gives positive assessment of Town Hall's economic figures

-

In response to the catastrophist messages from the mayor, Diego Jiménez, spokesperson for the Socialist Party, states that public services and the wages of municipal workers are more than secure: “The government can cope with the day-to-day running without difficulty, which is why we want to send a message of calm and confidence to all our residents and to the municipal workforce”.

In view of the reports from the Comptroller’s Office and the Treasury, to which the Socialist councillors have had access for the most recent council meetings, as of today most economic and budgetary indicators are positive, with a cash balance of more than 7.5 million euros in the bank (7,529,240.77 € Comptroller’s Office Report No. 2024-0094, dated 7 March 2024).

Jiménez explained that the Town Hall has a good-quality economic and budgetary health, as it has spent years working in the right direction, and he added: “The only negative thing we have is a government that is not capable of governing, and that will not launch a single new project. Although for them this does not seem to be a problem, as they are far more concerned with being in office than with getting things done”, stated Diego José Jiménez.
