The Embellishment department of Manilva Town Hall continues to carry out work that adds a special charm to every corner of the municipality.
As the councillor in charge of the area, Paqui López, explains, the latest creation from the workshop led by Juan Oliva and José María Tirado has now been installed: a new mural dedicated to one of the most internationally renowned figures, Pablo Picasso.
The mural was put up by municipal workers on the street named after the Málaga-born artist, in Sabinillas, under the watchful gaze of local residents, who were delighted with this large new piece.
The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, did not want to miss the moment, and was joined by the artists of the Embellishment department, councillors Paqui López and Marcos Ruiz, and the director, Pilar Zúñiga.
Juan Oliva and José María Tirado gave further details about this striking mural, which has been made with recycled materials and protected with a special product to extend its life, as it is located outdoors.
For the municipal officials, it is essential that every area of the municipality is gradually given artworks of this kind, which undoubtedly add cultural appeal to our town.
