An important meeting took place this morning to keep traders and other interested parties informed about upcoming developments in the third phase of the renovation of the town’s seafront promenade.
The Trade Councillor, Agustín Vargas, together with the Trade Councillor, Noelia Muñoz, and the Head of Tourism, Dean Shelton, met representatives of all the businesses affected in this area.
The key topics discussed at the meeting included:
Approximate Start Date: Traders were given information on the estimated start date of the third phase of works, which will allow them to plan their work in advance.
Storage of Equipment: It was announced that the Town Hall will arrange the secure storage of the businesses’ equipment and furnishings during the construction period, ensuring their protection.
Facilitating Access: The parties involved agreed to work closely together to ensure that the affected businesses can continue operating smoothly, guaranteeing continuous access for their customers.
Assessment of the Works: A detailed assessment of the key aspects of the works was provided, and the benefits they will bring to the municipality and to local businesses were highlighted.

As for the works themselves, this third phase promises substantial improvements. It will include replacing the paving slabs to ensure a safer surface, removing hazardous protruding elements and, most importantly, carrying out the works in sections.
