Compromiso Manilva presented its candidacy for the municipal elections on 28 May this evening at a packed event in the plaza Vicente Espinel in Sabinillas.
More than 600 residents gathered in an open-air space with no set capacity limit, wanting to show their support for the mayoral candidate, Mario Jiménez, and his team.
The presentation was hosted by Isaac García and Elena Rey. It began with all the members of the candidacy walking to the stage, ending with Mario Jiménez.
Mario Jiménez himself introduced each member of his team, describing the qualities of each one and personally thanking them for their commitment to joining him in this candidacy.
“I have the best group of people to take the reins of our town, a great team of men and women who are loyal and committed to the residents of Manilva: honest, dedicated, hard-working, good people who will give everything for their town, as many of them have done in recent years.”
The mayoral candidate for Compromiso Manilva stressed that “we have combined experience, with members of the current municipal government, and new faces joining municipal management. In municipal elections we know that the most important thing is people, and we believe we have the best team to consolidate the Compromiso Manilva project that we began in 2016.”
Jiménez reiterated his thanks to the people of Manilva, “my town and its good people. We are a great town, we have the best project, but we need your support and a majority.”
The event had an impressive staging, with a stage and a large screen showing the image of each member of the candidacy as they were introduced, as well as videos and photos summing up the work of these past four years.
There was also music from Ernesto Sánchez and the group Long Play, who entertained all those attending, who also enjoyed good food served by the bars of the plaza Vicente Espinel.
