Manilva starts the new 2022/23 school year this Monday with around 1,800 nursery and primary school pupils across the municipality’s three schools: Maicandil, San Luis and Pablo Picasso.
It was a day of reunions between pupils, with nerves, plenty of excitement and the odd tear as the summer holidays came to an end.
The Education councillor wanted to accompany the young students on a day that is so special for the children themselves, their teachers and their parents.
Muñoz also highlighted that the area’s school facilities are in perfect condition thanks to the good harmony between the schools themselves and the departments involved in their maintenance and renovation, such as Infrastructure and Works, headed by Diego José Jiménez.
The new classrooms in the extension to the San Luis school are being used for the first time today, and are already a reality at the start of the school year.
The work of the Local Police is also worth noting, as they ensured safety and controlled traffic on this busy morning, when pupils entered their schools in staggered groups. From this Tuesday, they will follow their usual timetable of 9:00 to 14:00.
From Manilva Town Hall, both the mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, and the Education councillor, Daniel Muñoz, wish the whole education community a happy school year.
