Mario Jiménez, mayor of Manilva, accompanied by the Beaches councillor, Eva Galindo, and councillor Paqui López, has signed the concession for three beach bars in our municipality.
Accompanied by the municipal architect, Gaspar Román, and technicians from the Junta de Andalucía, he signed the documents together with the hospitality business owners currently running the beach bars next to the Castillo, Romeo and Malibú, in the Los Granados area, and Hamaca, next to Puerto de la Duquesa.
The officials from Costas (the Coastal Authority), part of that supra-municipal body, carried out the inspection of the premises as the final step regarding the handover.
This technical report completes the file, so the process is now finished.
Next week the same will be done for Ch2 and Ch6.
The mayor stated: «In the municipality we have 16 beach bars that provide hundreds of jobs, contribute to the local economy and tourism, and offer an excellent hospitality service, so this step to secure their stability is essential.»
For her part, Galindo said: «The process of bringing the beach bars into compliance has been very tedious because of the countless requirements demanded by Costas, but now we are all delighted with this great achievement of being able to regularise them.»
