The Beautification and Local Development departments of Manilva Town Hall, headed by Paqui López and Marcos Ruiz, continue to carry out work that adds more cultural value to the municipality. Through Conchi Ferrer’s ceramics workshop, many murals now decorate our town.
Work is currently under way to restore Los Corceles de Neptuno, located between the promenade and Duquesa de arcos. The piece covers 102 square metres and is made up of around 2,500 tiles.
This maintenance work is being carried out by a local company, as the mural has been affected by the passage of time, as Marcos Ruiz explains.
Also present on this visit was the area director, Pilar Zúñiga, together with the Development councillor, who also presented the new work carried out in the streets named after painters in this area.
Specifically, on calle Dalí two further murals inspired by his works have been installed.
The next objective of these departments is to work on the friendship mural in plaza Martín Carpena, given its state of deterioration. To this end, a proposal for action is being drawn up to determine the best solution for this piece, which, like the rest, is of incalculable value.
