The mayor of Manilva and head of the Urban Planning department, José Manuel Fernández, together with municipal technicians, has held a key meeting with representatives of the Unicaja Foundation to continue moving forward with the project planned for the Colonia Infantil de Sabinillas.
The mayor has unblocked an initiative that is beneficial for the municipality and on which no progress had been made in the past. It concerns the most important green space in the municipality’s built-up areas, so achieving this idea of a link between Puerto de la Duquesa and Sabinillas, in addition to other routes, would be an extraordinary opportunity.
It should be recalled that Fernández visited the facilities in recent months with one of those present at the meeting, the director of the Media and Resources Division of the Unicaja Foundation, Joaquín Osuna, to begin to visualise the development of the urban planning project, which will include an extraordinary green space, with a park and recreation area with sea views.
The municipal technicians are studying all the documentation submitted by the organisation, and contact will be resumed in several weeks to continue making progress on the project.
