La Unión Manilva’s youth team has been crowned league champions after drawing 1-1 away at Mijas Las Lagunas. The Manilva side secured this well-deserved title and, with it, promotion to the Tercera Andaluza, as did their opponents on this final matchday.
The sky-blue side’s goal was scored by Dani García from a direct free kick, and the team held on until the end of a match in which they had plenty of support, as two coaches travelled from the municipality, thanks to the Sports and Youth departments, headed by Manolo Gil and Daniel Muñoz.
These more than 100 supporters were joined by officials including the mayor, Mario Jiménez, the first deputy mayor, Diego José Jiménez, and councillors Daniel Muñoz and Francisco Becerra.
