On 12 July, the Jaén-born businessman Jesús Belmonte announced the launch of a new political party in Manilva under the initials PCDM (Partido Centro Democrático Manilva), presenting it as an independent party, completely neutral in terms of ideologies and brands, and putting himself forward as a candidate for mayor of Manilva.
In that time, Jesús Belmonte opened an office on calle Álvarez Leiva in Manilva and has been planning and organising his team and projects, such as the one we learned about to set up a bus station in Sabinillas, but today everything changes following Belmonte’s own announcement that he is withdrawing as mayoral candidate, citing health problems.
In the same video, Belmonte thanks everyone who has shown him their affection and wishes the other parties a participatory and transparent approach to politics that meets people’s real needs and helps residents regain their enthusiasm.
