The Infrastructure and Works councillor at Manilva Town Hall, Diego José Jiménez, has met with the company responsible for building the pedestrian footbridge in the LIDL area, which crosses the A-7, to ensure that it takes responsibility for its maintenance, as set out in the original contract.
As Jiménez explained, this company is responsible for maintenance during the first 10 years after construction, which is why, following an inspection carried out together with municipal technicians, it has been required to check the welding points on the structure that show signs of rust.
The councillor said that the company has agreed to comply with the contract and that repair work will begin on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
In this way, in just a few days, the footbridge, which a great many people cross every day, will look much better.
