The councillors for Education, Daniel Muñoz, and for Infrastructure and Public Works, Diego José Jiménez, together with their area director, Mari Ángeles Ramos, visited the Maicandil school this morning, where various improvement works are under way at the educational facilities.
As Muñoz explained, both departments work in mutual coordination to keep the town’s schools in perfect condition. Today they were supervising the laying of the surface and paving in the nursery playground.
This work will also be carried out at the San Luis de Sabinillas school.
The councillor also said that, now that classes at the nursery schools are coming to an end, these educational premises will be made ready. He also made clear the coordination that exists between the department he heads and both the schools and the public works department.
For his part, Diego José Jiménez explained, regarding the work being carried out in the children’s playgrounds, that the mandatory rubber flooring in these areas is being levelled, but on this occasion it will be finished with approved artificial grass, designed to give the youngest children greater safety and comfort.
The councillor noted that the department he heads works hard every day, but does so in a special way during the summer months, carrying out plumbing, cleaning and painting work, among other tasks, which are a priority for his department.
The work will continue throughout August so that, with the start of the new school year in September, everything is in perfect condition.
