The Manilva Town Hall, through the Education and Infrastructure and Works departments, continues to make progress with its plan of improvements at the municipality’s schools. On this occasion, an awning system has been installed in the playground of the Escuela Infantil de Manilva (nursery school), a long-awaited measure by parents who had been reporting its absence to this newsroom for a month.
The work, carried out to protect children from the sun during outdoor play, was inspected today by the mayor, Mario Jiménez, together with the councillors in charge, Laura Salazar and Marcos Ruiz, and a political appointee, as well as the head of the school, Lola Castillo.
This project forms part of a line of work aimed at ensuring safer, more accessible and more comfortable environments for the education community. In this regard, the improvements are not only focused on nurseries, but are also being carried out at the municipality’s three state primary schools and its secondary school.
The Town Hall stresses that these interventions, although they may seem small, have a very significant impact on the quality of pupils’ day-to-day lives, reinforcing the council’s commitment to public education.
