This newsroom has received an email sent by the presidency of the Hacienda Guadalupe Residents’ Association to all of its property owners, expressing their disagreement over the opening last week of the new road named Uppsala, which connects the community with Princesa Kristina.
From what we can gather from the statement, the Town Hall had reached various agreements with the community so that the opening of this new road would affect the residents of Hacienda Guadalupe as little as possible, but so far these have not been honoured, despite the new road having been declared open.
The full statement reads as follows:
«By means of this email, and as president of Hacienda Guadalupe, having seen yesterday what was published by Manilva Town Hall regarding the signing of the handover of Calle Uppsala, which is included in the Manilva General Urban Plan and connects the Princesa Kristina development with Hacienda Guadalupe, I wish to inform you that over recent months we have held several meetings attended by the mayor of Manilva, Mr Mario Jiménez, the urban planning councillor, Mr Marcos Ruiz, and the Urban Planning Manager, concerning the opening of the aforementioned street, with the aim of reaching agreements that would not cause any harm to the residents of Hacienda Guadalupe.
As of today, despite the repeated requests of the representatives of Hacienda Guadalupe, the Town Hall has not carried out the agreements and promises made. We will continue to demand compliance with the agreements reached.
Signed: Paco R., President of the Hacienda Guadalupe Residents’ Association.»
