The Ciudad de la Petanca in Sabinillas has hosted a new sporting event. It is the Petanque Tournament for over-65s, a qualifier for the Diputación’s Málaga provincial championship.
The competition is organised by the provincial body and its Social Welfare and Sports departments, headed by Paqui López and Manolo Gil.
The local teams, many of whose players are members of the town’s Club CASAMA, are made up of people aged over 65.
The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, the Sports councillor, Manolo Gil, and the Social Affairs councillor, Paqui López, attended the event.
