Francisco Miguel Álvarez leaves the governing team

-

Francisco Miguel Álvarez has submitted a request through the registry office for his resignation as a councillor of Manilva Town Hall to be accepted and processed.

The reasons given by Álvarez state that, as he is to take up public duties at the Excelentísima Diputación Provincial de Málaga (Provincial Council of Málaga), he is obliged, much to his regret, to give up his seat as a councillor of the Popular Party Municipal Group on the Corporation.

The cause is strictly his need to dedicate himself full-time to the duties he will carry out in that supra-municipal body.

Following this, the matter will be referred to the council meeting, and the subsequent procedures will be duly carried out, namely: the declaration of the vacancy and the request for the appointment of a replacement by the Central Electoral Board, or any others provided for by law.

Both the mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the first deputy mayor and government partner, Diego José Jiménez, have accepted this request with the utmost respect for the councillor’s decision, assuring absolute normality and maintaining the existing municipal stability.

Álvarez’s areas will be taken on by the mayor’s office, and the appropriate decisions will be studied and made, always safeguarding the interests of the Town Hall and its good management.

The Governing Team thanks Francisco Miguel for his work and wishes him all the best in his personal and professional future.
