The Culture department, headed by councillor Alba Jiménez, is offering a Food Truck over the weekend of 5, 6 and 7 August, which will be set up in the Parque del Huerto in Castillo de la Duquesa;
A Foodtruck is a modern concept that has emerged in many European countries in recent times; it is a restaurant on wheels where dishes, snacks, desserts and drinks are prepared and sold; all of these products are made with carefully selected, gourmet-quality ingredients.
This culinary offer is complemented by a set of activities for all ages; children and adults will be able to enjoy, in addition to the best gourmet food, live music and fun activities for the youngest members of the family on 5, 6 and 7 August.
On Friday 5, the Food Truck will open at 20:00 to offer a wide and varied selection of food, from 20:00 to 23:00; later that night, from 23:00, a performance by the band “Los Colgaos” will take place at the same venue; they will play a concert of 80s and 90s covers with a very particular and original touch.
On Saturday 6, on the same stage, from 13:00 there will be children’s games and water games, as well as bouncy castles for children; we will also be able to enjoy dancing to the music of the band Capitán 80 at 23:00; another band from the golden age of Spanish music; a quality musical selection for an event like this.
As for meal times, the stalls or caravans will have the following hours: from 13:00 to 15:00 for lunch and from 20:00 to 23:00 for dinner.
To round off the weekend of festivities, relive the best of the 60s, 70s and 80s with the music of the band Radio Petrarca on Sunday 7 August from 23:00; a musical style that lets us all relive a unique party, with songs that have gone down in history and are still as good and as much fun to dance to today as they were then; the youngest can continue to take part in the children’s activities from 13:00, and the general public can enjoy the varied food offer at the same times as on Saturday.
