First stone laid for pedestrian path

-

Today the first stone was laid for the first phase of the Pedestrian Path project, which will link Manilva and Sabinillas along one side of the A-377 road.

At this ceremonial event we were joined and supported by the Provincial Councillor for Public Works (Diputado de Fomento), Javier Quero, and the President of the Association of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol, José Antonio Mena, as well as by the Municipal Corporation, made up of Compromiso Manilva and the PSOE, with mayor Mario Jiménez and the councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Diego José Jiménez, both of whom spoke.

Also present was one of the people who worked tirelessly to make this project a reality, Francisco Miguel Álvarez, a former councillor at the Town Hall, who was also accompanied by his colleagues from the local PP, led by Juani Ortíz.

The first stone of the Pedestrian Path was laid at kilometre zero, level with the Vehicle Depot, where numerous people and media outlets gathered to cover this historic event.

The mayor was delighted and had words of thanks for everyone involved in making our Path a reality.
Diego José Jiménez highlighted the work carried out and the large number of projects launched from the start to the end of the term of office.

The former governing partner, Francisco Miguel Álvarez, was also very pleased that good work and good relations between the administrations have borne fruit.

Municipal officials also sent a message to residents, asking them to take great care while the works are under way and to respect the signage, so that no incident has to be regretted.
