First course with certificate of professionalism comes to an end

This morning saw the closing of the first of the courses with a certificate of professionalism. It was the level 1 course in auxiliary techniques for administrative and general services.

The closing ceremony was attended by the mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, the first deputy mayor, Diego José Jiménez, and the Training councillor, who is responsible for the initiative, Marcos Ruiz.

Also present were José Carlos Castaños, who is in charge of coordinating these training initiatives, and the teacher who delivered the course, María Luisa Fernández, who told our microphones that it has been a very enriching experience for the 12 students who took part. Fernández said that the Town Hall has offered these students a golden opportunity to find a decent job. She also told us that the students now move on to work placements with local companies, and she wished to thank those companies for their involvement in helping the students successfully complete this period, which will give them the tools they need to enter the job market with confidence.

For his part, the Training councillor, Marcos Ruiz, gave a broad overview of this programme, which is so important for our residents.

As the councillor explained, from next October anyone interested can already enrol in any of these six courses:
– Data and document entry and processing operations.
– Administrative activities in customer relations.
– Document and management support in offices and practices.
– Integrated human resources management.
– Business financing.
– Sommelier training.

To take these courses, applicants must be registered with the SAE (Andalusian Employment Service) as jobseekers and hold the qualifications required for each Certificate of Professionalism (depending on whether it is level 1, 2 or 3); priority groups will also be given consideration, as established in the regulations.

Applicants must complete a Junta de Andalucía standard application form, which can be obtained from the Training Centre in Sabinillas, the Guadalinfo Classroom, or by emailing formacion@ayto-manilva.com, fomento@ayto-manilva.com and guadalinfo.manilva@guadalinfo.es.

Participating students may apply for the grants or scholarships provided by the Junta de Andalucía. Regardless of this, Manilva Town Hall will give each student on the municipal register (padrón) an amount of 5 euros per teaching day, provided that they complete the certificate of professionalism with the minimum requirements for obtaining the qualification.

These courses are aimed at residents of the town and the surrounding area, and are a unique opportunity to train in a profession with a future and an official qualification. Manilva Town Hall continues to work to train all unemployed residents so that they can access the job market more easily.
