Next Wednesday, 3 April, two extraordinary sessions will be held in the council chamber of Manilva Town Hall.
First council meeting (9:00)
- The main items include the appointment of representatives of Manilva’s municipal corporation to the general meeting of the company «TDT Estepona, Manilva, Casares y Benahavis, S.L», the remuneration arrangements for the mayor, and the free transfer of a plot of land, intended for a social area or social amenity area, within the «Aldea Beach» complex.
- Also on the agenda are the Regulations on the operation of the municipal register of town planning and management instruments, planning agreements, and listed buildings and spaces, and the municipal by-law regulating the management and efficient use of water in Manilva.
- The tax by-law regulating the charge for the refuse collection and treatment of solid urban waste service; and the amendment of the tax by-law regulating the tax on the increase in value of urban land (plusvalía).
- In addition, councillors will be informed of the closure and settlement of the 2023 budget; the insolvency proceedings and liquidation of Funmades; the economic and financial information for the fourth quarter of 2023; and the medium-term budget plan for 2025-2027.
Second council meeting, «called by the opposition» (12:00):
- Unlimited access for the spokespersons of the municipal groups to all files through espublico-gestiona, followed by the granting of two taxi licences and a request for three new licences and their granting.
- The creation of a monitoring committee and the equal distribution among all municipal groups of space in the municipal media will also be debated, as well as support for Manilva’s primary sector, agriculture, fishing and livestock farming, and the amendment of the tax by-law regulating the tax on the increase in value of urban land.
- In addition, the meeting will address the review of the mayor’s current full-time dedication arrangement, delaying as far as the law permits the entry into force of the new refuse charge, and compensating with a reduction in IBI (property tax) for 2025.
