The girl has not attended class for a month and a half after an anxiety attack and a serious episode of self-harm. The parents of an 11-year-old girl from Manilva are demanding that the Education delegation approve a change of school for their daughter after three years of bullying.
According to Cadena Ser Costa del Sol, the girl has been bullied for three years, although the situation has worsened this year to the point that she has self-harmed and suffered severe anxiety attacks.
Following this, the girl stopped attending class a month and a half ago, and no monitoring of the girl was put in place by the school or the Junta until this week, according to her father, Román Nazziconi.
No anti-bullying protocol
The parents say they have been speaking to the school for two years to try to resolve the situation, «without the anti-bullying protocol having been activated».
The family has sought help from private psychologists, and they also have reports from specialists at the Servicio Andaluz de Salud indicating anxiety and depression arising from the school environment, for which reason they recommend a change of school.
However, the inspectorate has replied to the family rejecting the requested change. The parents say they feel desperate and are demanding a solution to their daughter’s situation.
