Developer Jamsa has announced the purchase of a plot in Manilva (Málaga), where it plans a new development of 151 homes. With sea views and a price of 3,000 euros/m2, the project includes two- and three-bedroom units and will have communal areas and ‘amenities’. Manilva, an affordable alternative to Marbella, is seen by the company as a growing market: “It is a strategic area that already attracts tourists and customers, but at a more accessible cost than Marbella,” says Juan Antonio Mora, CEO of Jamsa.
As well as Manilva, Jamsa has bought three plots of land in various towns across Spain. Mora explains that, although Madrid remains a focus of interest, “high prices and competition lead us to prioritise provinces where we find a better profit margin.” The company currently manages a portfolio of 25 projects, with a total of 1,100 homes under construction or in the process of being marketed, and expects sales of 746 million euros over the next four years.
