The mayor and highest representative of Manilva Town Hall, José Manuel Fernández, together with the Infrastructure and Works councillor, Agustín Vargas, have announced the transformation of the plots located in sectors MA-6 and MA-7, popularly known as the «llano negro», into a large green and leisure space. This project will not only add a valuable natural lung to the municipality but will also ease parking congestion.
With an area of 11,834 square metres of land, whose purchase has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Diputación Provincial de Málaga, which will cover the 750,000 euros needed to carry out this initiative, the transformation of the «llano negro» into a leisure and recreation space is intended to offer residents a series of benefits and amenities, including:
Outdoor fitness equipment: Equipment and areas will be installed to encourage physical activity and wellbeing.
Rest areas: Spaces designed for relaxation and for visitors to unwind will be created.
Street furniture: Benches, bins, lighting and other elements will be installed to improve the experience of those who enjoy this setting.
Ornamental features: Aesthetic details will be added to enhance the beauty of the site.
Wooded areas: The project includes extensive tree planting that will provide shade and freshness in the park.
Pedestrian paths: Paths will be laid out for walking and outdoor activities.
Leisure areas: Spaces will be included for fun and entertainment for all ages.
Creation of shaded spots: Shaded areas will be provided for visitors to enjoy on hot days.
This transformation project responds to the ongoing improvement of the urban environment and the quality of life of residents in Manilva, consolidating its commitment to creating modern, functional public spaces. It has also been announced that another significant project will be presented in the coming days in the Maicandil area, which will further enrich the range of recreation and leisure spaces in the municipality.
