As planned, the ceremony to present the medal of honour to Mr Antonio Miguel Barragán Sánchez for his organ donation took place at this morning’s council meeting. The municipal Corporation considers this an extraordinary gesture that deserves to be duly recognised.
The mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the spokespersons Diego José Jiménez, Marcos Ruiz and Agustín Vargas spoke warmly of our distinguished neighbour, highlighting such a commendable gesture.
The recipient, together with his family and friends, was moved and grateful for this honour, which will be extended with the installation of a plaque in the donor’s square in Sabinillas.
