If Izquierda Unida brought to the attention of the local Electoral Board the use of large-format campaign posters on the road to Manilva, and this body ordered their immediate removal, on this occasion Compromiso Manilva has filed a complaint with the Provincial Electoral Board against the presenter of the municipal public television station for using the channel for partisan purposes. It argues that the presenter has lost objectivity in the news and considers that favourable treatment is being given to the party he represents, as he is number 4 on the Izquierda Unida list.
The complaint was filed on 21 April. After studying the case and the submissions from the media outlet itself and the presenter, which provided conclusive evidence that the necessary measures had been put in place as soon as Juan Carlos Morejón’s situation became known, the Electoral Board decided to close the case without upholding the complaint.
In light of these events, Morejón made a live statement through our outlet explaining what had happened. He placed himself at the disposal of anyone wishing to know any detail of the matter, and even challenged his political opponents to debate any topic they consider appropriate, with clear policies.

On 27 April, in an act of responsibility and transparency, Juan Carlos Morejón himself stood down as CCOO union representative at Manilva Town Hall so as not to hinder any activity related to it.
