Compromiso denounces that the stabilisation process is being put at risk

-

Compromiso Manilva has denounced that the «lack of dialogue and imposition» of the Manilva governing team (PP and the IU turncoats), led by its mayor, is putting the stabilisation process at Manilva Town Hall at risk.

This complaint follows the news that the mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, has signed a mayoral decree amending the terms of the selection process, introducing a new criterion for the stabilisation of temporary public employment at the Town Hall.

«A decision taken by the mayor unilaterally, without publicity and without negotiating with the trade unions, in which he intends that only those applicants who have achieved at least half of the maximum score in the process be considered to have passed

«This is one more example of the clumsy management of Mr Fernández and his team of misgovernment, who in barely five months at the head of the Town Hall are showing that they do not know how to govern, and that they are driven only by spite and revenge, aiming to destroy everything done and achieved by the previous governing team.»

«Mr Fernández is incapable of negotiating with the representatives of public workers and is concerned only with his own interest and that of his friends. He has no interest in the municipal workers who, after years, are going to improve their employment situation,» say Compromiso Manilva.

Compromiso Manilva says «we are not going to hinder the procedure, nor are we going to lodge any kind of administrative appeal, so as not to harm those municipal workers who, after so many years, are going to secure their jobs».

«We understand that some workers may end up appealing the mayor’s decision, as it is an unlawful decree. Of course, if they were to appeal, the procedure already under way could be halted, which would obviously be bad news. But it must be made clear that if that were to happen, nobody can blame workers who are only fighting for their interests. The only one to blame would be the mayor. He would be solely responsible for any halt.»

Compromiso Manilva stresses that «nobody asked him to issue, at the wrong time, a completely unlawful decree that puts at risk what so many of us have worked on for so long with so much effort. It is for him alone to put this right. He should stop passing the buck and playing political games and revoke the unlawful decree so that all the families affected can sleep easy.»
