The Agriculture councillor at Manilva Town Hall, Francisco Becerra, visited the Padre Mariano track this morning, where cleaning and clearance work is under way.
The councillor said this work is being carried out on the rural tracks closest to the town centre, so that they are in the best possible condition for residents and farmers ahead of the grape harvest.
So far, work has been carried out at Panderon, Tranche, the Estepona track, Bodeguilla and the link between El Chorro and La Peñuela.
This type of work is also carried out for safety reasons, to prevent incidents and possible fires.
The department will continue working on tracks such as those at La Eduarda, Jacinto Porro, Chorro Manso and Río Manilva.
